Eitorf Valley Project
We want to hear from you – The dialogue on the Eitorf valley corridor
With the “Eitorf Valley Axis” project, the municipality of Eitorf is establishing a strategic foundation for urban development in the coming years in order to proactively address current and future challenges.
Currently, there is no comprehensive urban strategy for Eitorf’s future development.
The goal of the structural concept is therefore to create an integrated urban planning and functional framework for the municipality’s spatial and programmatic development that balances diverse interests, clarifies conflicting objectives, and serves as a common basis for future decisions and actions.
To meet this goal, a comprehensive dialogue will take place between the administration, political leaders, municipal institutions, and the citizens of Eitorf, in which joint solutions will be developed for current and future challenges along the valley axis. The outcome of this process will be a jointly supported vision for the future, aimed at fostering a sense of ownership among all participants and enabling the targeted, efficient implementation of future projects.
A central element is the development of and work with visions of the future that highlight possible directions for Eitorf’s development. Ultimately, the project aims to create a vision for the future with which all stakeholders can identify, so that future projects can be implemented in a more targeted, faster, and more efficient manner.
What types of investment options are available?
Talachse Working Group
As the project progresses, several workshops are planned with the various departments of the municipality of Eitorf and with representatives of Eitorf’s political leadership in order to pool local expertise. During these workshops, ideas will be developed, interim findings discussed, and results reviewed and refined.
Forum on the Future
At a future forum, various visions of Eitorf’s future will be presented for discussion. The goal is not to identify a preferred vision, but rather to learn from all of them: What are the advantages and disadvantages of the strategic approaches described in these visions? Which opportunities should be seized, and which risks should be addressed?
Online participation
In addition to an in-person event, the topics of the Future Forum will also be discussed online, providing opportunities for public engagement and participation.
